    • HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT :
The Department of Chemistry was started the day the college was established in the year 1989. In the short span of 18 years the department has many activities to its credit. Besides academic growth of the students the department also emphasizes on the personality development of the students. Th staff always encourages and guides the students to understand and develop a keen interest in the subject . Polymer chemistry is taught here as an optional subject at the T.Y.B.Sc. Polymer Chemistry is taught in only 3-4 colleges in Pune University. Many industries around Pune like Century Enka, Cipy Polymers, Filtrum Polymers, etc require students with a basic knowledge of polymer chemistry. Hence taking this into consideration we have introduced this subject at T.Y. B.Sc. Many of our Ex-students are doing well in their respective fields.
